Some garages will demand the car have any failings fixed with them (as it states on the MOT Certificate) most are cool in my experience, you have up to 10 days to get it retest done free of charge. Via Tapatalk

I'm a tester and Iv always been under the impression that it dosnt matter what it fails on it can go away be fixed and as long as it's been fixed to a good standard its fine to be passed. Would be interested to see where it states otherwise?
thing it depends on the garage to be honest I know if the car fails and gets repaired and the mot tester is happy then we don't charge
if the mot just checks what it fails on then no but if they say it needs a full retest then it will need the emissions checking again
hope they just check what it fails on
