Rear boot scuff protector

Anyone know the best way to remove the above, just purchased my new golf and has one on and I am not really fond of it

Try a hot air gun on minimum setting (oh so carefully!) warm the material at one end till the adhesive softens enough to gently peel it off, small bit at a time. Pull it back on itself, warming from the underneath once you have got it started.
You might get away with using a hair dryer too.
