Yeah I'm getting 215, and if they rub, I'll chuck them on the back and get 205 for the front
Yeah I guess so! I probably will do then haha

Think I may need it.. Picked up the wheels today and threw one on the front.
The tyre that's on there is a 225/40.
Reckon the 205s will sort out that ridiculous stance?

I hope the fitment can be sorted, since I do like the wheels, and they came up really well, after just an Iron-X & snowfoam.
I'll clean them properly soon though.

Do check the bolt holes & length of bolt sticking out as most Mercs need longer wheel bolts (if you've not already..)
205/40 will make it somewhat driveable. But to be honest at your ride height they look odd.
Your car and your choice though pal  :happy2:

Yeah, I've already got extended bolts.
The only thing I'm concerned about is the aesthetics at the moment, I don't like the tyre poke, and I'm not sure if the tyres will cure that :sad1:
Depending on cost, I may see if I can get them machined down..

205/40s if you are going to get them.

Machining the wheels down is an option but depends on the design of the hub face.. some can be machined down some can't, because of where the hub goes
Good you got longer bolts already. But remember, find wheels that fit the car, don't bend over backwards to get a set fitted .

Buy a really cheap cast off 205/40 tyre, or maybe go to your local tyre shop and ask them if you can have any old 205/40 fitted to a loose wheel for £5 and try that way.

Yeah, I think I'll put 2 on one side if I get time tomorrow, and take some daylight pictures.
I'll keep an eye out for a cheap 205, but when I rung around, no one had any in stock locally.. :stupid:
I think they'd be easily pulled off if I could go lower, but the coils are maxed out, and on the second set of springs already haha, don't want to put even shorter ones on.
I'll also look into machining them.

Do you want them as winters? Don't think I'm low enough to pull them off.. I wish I could afford air :sad1:

I got a decent 205 for £20 and threw it on.
Looks miles better, but I'm just not a poke kinda guy. I like the wheels to be hiding up in the arches for some reason :signLOL:
So they're for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
Here are some pictures of the 205 fitment.
The barrels cleaned up incredibly well too
