This does sound interesteding (and fun of course).  Quite a decision but I think Joe might just take it with the extra torque and (slightly) quicker spool up (having driven remapped K03- standard K04 back to back). The DSG will no doubt give Phil an advantage but that all comes down to his take-off.

Place your bets...

Backing DSG on this one, especially if he gets his Christmas wish granted

Yup, DSG and the Miltek will swing it Phils way - only just though.

Will the Milltek actually make any difference at all? Even a turbo back will only give about 10bhp and that won't be massively noticeable..

its the torque that i will gain Ben, it wont on the horsepower. Thats why joes "higher Hp" wont be much of a gain, its the torque that i need to increase to help my launch.

Some of us forumites can help push-launch your car at the starting line!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I wouldn't be to confident Phil..  Although I would expect a ED30 DSG to have an edge on a R32 when rolling, the 1/4 mile isn't a massively long race remember and with the bonus of 4wd off the line, if you go up against a well driven one you may struggle to catch it by the finish line..  :scared: Would be close..  :drinking:
Standard Mk5 R32 mid 14's
Standard-ish ED30 DSG Mid (or if driven bang on, possibly low) 14's
It'll be down to the pilot IMO, simple as really.. :happy2: Either way, we'll cheer you on..
