Baby monitor - help
« on: November 17, 2013, 10:01:56 pm »
Anyone got advice or recommendations for a particularly good baby monitor setup? What's especially advantageous and so on, hoping some experienced dads can chip in

Ideally I'd like something that links up to an app for when I am away to work, and with a good night vision camera so it can double up as a driveway camera (so needs a decent sized SD card capability).

Cheers
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Aye it's come a long way in a short time, he'll have it gone in a few months no doubt.

We had one like a Tomy TF525 Digital Baby Monitor but i wish we got one with a camera to stop me running in and out.Buying a monitor is a mine field infact its harder than moving home :signLOL:Settling on one that feels right for you and your needs is key

100% Get one with a camera built in to it, it will save you going up and down the stairs all the time .............. I remember once when the camera was set up in the bedroom and i went up for a sly ham shank and didnt realise the camera ws still on, anyway the Mrs gave me a right ear bashing !!!  Dam Cameras

By all means buy a monitor/alarm thingy that goes off if your baby stops moving/breathing.
Get an audio monitor if you are going to be along way from your baby's bedroom (like I'm on the ground floor and my daughter is on the second floor)
Other than that, if your baby needs you it will let you know.
Don't worry/panic to much, checking on the baby every 5 mins won't do yourself or the baby any good.

The wife really wants them, so they'll definitely have a video feature. Too much choice though!

the best of it was there is a function on the monitor where you can actually play a song to the baby, at the touch of a button, to comfort it if it wakes up. (All this is done from the screen from down the stairs) Anyhoo, she pushed it !!!! so i was up the stairs having the time of my life listening to twinkle, twinkle little star......... still, it would be rude of me not to finish wouldnt it !!!
