what are the most commone tyre of choice for a gti owner?

any suggestions? i got my gti on saturday and im doing as much research as possible to have me prepared for the maintanence

anyone have a good tip? and what prices are etc? cheers  :happy2:

Michelin Pilot Sport 2's at around £130 a corner gets my vote every time  :happy2:

They last ages and perform really well in the wet and dry  :notworthy:

always been on bridgestone potenza re50a , its what the car came with and drove so well thats what i have stuck with

If your like the sound of a Landrover makes with its chunky tread tyres, then those babys are spot on  :sick:

Michelin Ps2's or Goodyear F1 Asym's are next on for me.

My oppinion has changed bigstyle after my current set of dunlops have deformed in 8 months and now are extremily noisey.

Cant wait to get shot of them tbh.

 Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric. They're the best all rounders. :happy2:

avoid bridgestone re050a,

they flatspot during the night and takes about 3 kilometers to get round again.
yokohama advan ado8 are next for me

Conti Sport couse I got it with the car and they are ok :laugh: Altought Eagle F1 rox  :grin: In rain they are best possible choise, I just love them.

Currently running Michelin PS2's after some Pilot Exaltos which were ok.
I have previously ran Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's and Assymetrics on my Octavia and to be honest I would probably go for the Goodyear Assyms next time.

Can't agree with that!  Especially with their well-proven nasty trait of taking forever to scrub in, along with causing 'twitchy' handling - as has been reported in many mags, including Evo.  :sick:

Yeah... Evo thought they were so crap, they rated them first in their tyre test....

Don't know about the most common, but i've just bought a couple of VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTAS for the 1st time. 
Not yet fitted.
