That one requires the long slot on the top

Just make sure you don't buy

1k0 858 069 H. Or
1k0 858 069 K

They only have short slot in the centre

No problem - Ask MC71 if he can give you any pointers in advance! :happy2:

Finally, the part number of the panel you've ordered  - some can be to young to work - come back with the number off the back and we'll check it before you pull it all a part!

No part number on the climate panel but it does have a date (03.07.09) and 01367 A1 K and 174 785-01

What do we think?

I've put it all in. Works very nicely. Found a button combination online that resets the flaps. The AC still needs doing so I won't use that until Monday when I'm getting someone with VCDS to do the reset for me. The fans seem to cycle on and off which I'm told means the compressor wants initialising or something.

VERY happy overall, RCD510 looks lovely and the DAB works well with a glass mounted aerial which is quite discrete. Did the pin swap and the ipod connection in the arm rest is working too

Just had the VCDS stuff done by 'John A' on here who is a great guy!

All working now (apart from the iPod Dock which seems to keep trying to pause the music constantly  :sad1:

I've ordered a female 30 pin iPod to 3.5mm and an aux plug which connects the same way the iPod Dock does in the hope that one will solve my problem. The music streams perfectly it just seems that something is making it send a signal to pause constantly (although sometimes it will work for 20 mins or so without issue).

Overall very happy :D
