Engine knock, possible flywheel?
« Reply #15 on: November 24, 2013, 02:04:38 pm »
So just lately I've noticed that I've been getting a knock noise when I first press the accelerater with the gear engaged,  it doesn't happen when just changing the gear,  it happens as soon as you press accelerater.  I'm thinking it could be the flywheel bit then I'm at a loss because I think it's the flywheel but would the flywheel be making a noise when the engine is just running at idle? I've changed my dog bone mount and im pretty sure it's not the other mounts as they would make a noise on start up?

Any ideas?

Need some help guys struggling with wheel fitment!

If I was to buy a set of porsche alloys with fitments of:
9J X 18 - ET52 - Back
7.5J X 18 - ET50 - Front
What size adapters would be best and what sort of tyre fitment would I need.

Car is lowered on jom coilovers.

Thanks for any help!

Cam Follower Replacement - Pressure Release Banjo Bolt
« Reply #17 on: November 29, 2013, 08:14:59 pm »
Evening all,

I intend to replace my cam follower tomorrow now I have the m8 spline bit.

Have looked on here and around the net but cannot see specifically how to release the HPFP pressure with the banjo bolt setup.

There is some guidance about removing fuse and running engine until splutter but some say this is not necessary. I can't see an alternative method.

Has anyone done this or know how to release the pressure?

Thanks

Gideon
