Don't ever drive a GTI in the snow!

Yeah, all that is is the ability to set a speed limiter 'beep' at any speed. It was designed, so that if you fitted winter tyres that were only capable of a lower max speed, you could set the 'beep' to remind you. I use it to remind myself when im going at silly speeds.

I thought I had kerbed both rims on the left hand side of my car because I was really close to the kerb going up a hill and I could hear some major scraping. I was not gonna stop though as I had a major queue of traffic behind me wondering what the nob in the white golf was doing! I quickly stopped at a layby and to my relief it was only the snow scraping against the rim. Phew! :happy2:

And as someone said above, turning TC off when driving in the snow helps SO MUCH!! Wish I had found out earlier when I was stuck!!
