DSG - is this normal?
« on: November 24, 2013, 05:53:51 pm »
Hi all, I have a 05 dsg gti, not long had it.

Just wondering if this is normal?

when I unlock my car and the auto lights come on, the prnds lights by the stick were flashing until it put the key in the ignition.

Every thing is working fine and no flashing lights on the dash.

Yes but I would suspect it's an electrical fault rather than anything wrong, if it drives rightly.

Yeah that's what I am hoping! What type of electrical faults could I be looking at do you know? Sensors?

Just took it for a drive no issues at all.

Turned the car off, locked it, unlocked it no more flashing.

I read on another forum with someone who had a simular issue, and there is a sensor under the "P" by the stick that can get dirty etc.. might try and clean it out.

So I Just had it scanned via vagcom (vcds) and no faults were found unders transmission - 02 or the engine.

I guess it was/or is just an eletrical blip.
