anyway, I've emailed revo just to check if they actually found anything out or if there is a specific revision I should be getting.  Will post up any info and let you know how I get on.

All I need then is a new turbo   :sad:

Coilpacks come out pretty easy - hardest bit was getting the connectors off, one had the clip missing which made it more difficult (that will be the stealer at the last service then when the plugs were changed!).

Also fitted a new coolant tank in the Mk4 to solve the dreaded STOP check coolant error - wonder if the mk5 will eventually have this issue.
