Need help temperature exceeding 90 degrees

What could be the cause of the car temp going past 90, I just noticed that it went 3-4 bars up, I checked coolant it is still full what could it be? No warning signs have come up

Thermostat stuck?
Check the coolant tank see that coolant is being pumped back into the bottle (coolant pump)

Could also be a faulty temp sensor in the block.
Does it seem to warm up quicker than before?

Alright will have a look tommorow, bit of a wierd thing if I switch my car off and back on again temp goes back to 90 and stays there and back to normal again more of a intermittent problem

You have an airlock -start the car when cold then undo cap and let it run for 5 mins( you can rev from time to time ) then replace cap --- don't try remove cap when engine is hot- just a reminder
