« on: November 26, 2013, 08:06:24 pm »
Although I have sold the golf, I thought I would stick around!

Have had my audi a4 avant  Quattro tsi for just over a week and have just booked it in for a stage 1 Revo map with Alex at aks for Monday:-)

Stock bhp 211. Stage 1 305bhp can't wait! :jumpmove:

Will report back if people interested?

Do you think that it will go up 90bhp with a remap ? An ED30 with a K04 only increases about 60bhp with a remap only - But then if AKS says it will give 300 then i am happy it will , but are you sure ?  :innocent:

If its true , one of those might go on my new car list  :happy2:

I must admit seems high to me but Revo website quotes 305bhp

I was looking at a golf r but then this came up and I was surprised at performance and tuning capability also price was alot less than an r!

Yeah the Revo site claims:

B8 Audi A4 2.0TSI
Stock: 211bhp 258lb/ft
Stage 1: 305bhp 348lb/ft

Fantastic increase, if it's not just claims... may want to budget for a clutch too, unless it's stronger in the B8 Audi's or your running DSG... either way I'm sure it will be fun on the way home. :happy2:

I think I have been quite lucky as most a4 avants are diesel, not many 2.0 tsi quattros for sale I think. Mine is a white sline with leather and panaromic sunroof. In the process of giving it a full detail. Will post in detailing section when done.

Here is a picture before I picked her up:

I believe the large bhp quoted on the stage 1 maps for this derivative is due to Audi having the variable valve lift tech available on this engine, seems to make quite a difference over the 'regular' 2.0Tsi and the remap obviously takes great advantage of it, great Q car!  :happy2:

Interesting thought --- so the Audi VVL TSI unit wasn't fitted to the rest of the VAG stable then?

Which Audi motors did it get plumbed into... TT / A3...? OR just A4, seems the motor to go for.

Is the Mk7 GTI not using it?

Apparently this engine has stronger internals and has the IHI turbo, not k03 or k04.

Might be wrong but is this not the same engine as in the S3 just detuned.

Like the idea of a 'q' car B-)

How did the remap go?, did it make 305bhp (or near that?).
