Machine polisher... which one
« on: November 29, 2013, 10:25:22 pm »
Just after a bit of advice from you detailing guys, I have just changed my black MK5 gti for a white MK6 gtd, Although the paint is clean it does have a few swirls here and there so i'm looking to get a machine polisher to take some of the hard work out of getting it looking spot on... What would be a decent machine kit for wifey to buy me for xmas.... Nothing to expensive or industrial as it will be purely used for my DIY detailing skills.. probably a panel at a time :-)

Also black paint was reputed to be hard and took a lot of elbow grease to make any headway .... what is the white like ... harder or softer. Thanks for any advice

Rupes machine if your not on a limited budget.

Better machine then the suggestions above, but the above will do the job admirably .

Spent a load of time reading before I went for pads

I ended up with white and orange hex logic and a black one to apply a good sealant they are effect for the job at hand!

In terms of polish I went for scholls 17+ amd 30+ everyone on detailing forums speaks well of them and I've gotta say they are magic! made the job a lot easier than I thought it would be and the combination is outstanding!

Got some pictures on my thread I think if you wanna see before you buy
