How can I get more traction???
« on: November 30, 2013, 05:50:42 pm »
Is it a WALK I need?

When accelerating hard it goes into horrendous wheel spin in second gear and start of third.  The whole car judderes like the fronts hopping if you like, horrible!!!!

Is that wheel hop?

How do I eliminate it guys?

I've got the VWRacing lower engine mount already.

All thoughts appreciated!

Car is stage 1 APR eddy with VWracing intake and milltek TBE.

Will

Easy way is to get some softer compound sticky tyres for every day. I have Yokahammas on mine and I find it fine from standstill to be honest.

Side Engine mounts, Anti lift kit, LCD, sticky tyres, a linear map and a slightly more carful right foot.

Probably loads of other bits too I can't think of.

I was stuck in the same dilemma. So got a mk5 gti dsg for everyday fun and then a mk4 R32 for every other day fun  :driver:
