Golf MK5 Speakers
« on: December 06, 2013, 12:55:01 am »
I have a 2007 VW Golf MK5 GT 2L TDI.
I am looking to replace all the stock speakers with JBL and I am wondering which speaker size to buy.
From what I can tell, I have 3 speakers in the front, and one in the back.

Anyone got any idea?

Also just using the button above searching for "what size speaker"

Not only the first result but loads of them with all the info!

Hi and welcome btw

Just buy the speakers you want and make a wooden insert to fit the speakers, will have to drill the rivets out of the standard speakers anyway so this makes more sense.

from experience... the speakers are not the weak point of the system. Just upgrading the speakers alone will lead to no improvement or even worse sound.

If you want to keep the oem headunit look at using an audison bitten and aftermarket amp and hook that back up to the oem speakers... if you still want more then look at upgrading the actual speakers.
