Was channel hopping earlier and just starting on ITV4 was The Professionals.

The cars in tonight's particular episode look really dated. Mk1 Cortinas and early Transit vans plus a Triumph Spitfire etc.
With their Apr 78 tax discs...

But then the opening credits rolled...cue Granada bursting through a wall mid air and that classic music. Cool as ...

Wow I was ten years old again and really wanting to be just like Bodie.
To me he was the cool one hitting the punchbag etc in the sequence...not like that ponce Doyle with his girlie permed hair.

RIP Lewis Collins from a mid 40's fan (all over again) of 70's tv action drama..

I am another mid 40's bloke brought up on shows such as the professionals and starsky and hutch from the USA in the 70's. Fantastic show and a real mans man. What terrible news and really no age at all

What a hero, used to love watching the Professionals when I was a kid and still now always hope when an episode comes on it's the white Mk2 RS200 they're driving.
Also used to watch who dares wins over and over again brilliant film.
