Finding the right sub & amp

Oh yeah, just want to double check something before I order!

My wiring kit is a vibe 4 gauge kit, 2000w max.

The amp is 2400w, the sub is 1600w.
I'll be wiring the sub and amp at 2ohm, which means the amp is at a max of 1600w, with an RMS of 800w.

The wiring kit will be able to handle it, right? As the max is going to be 1600w, not 2400w.

4awg will be fine for 800w RMS draw...probably pushing it a little for 1200w RMS (if you get a dual 2 ohm sub).

I'm in the process of doing a stealth sub build. My buddy Jairm is helping me with it.

I bought a Rockford Fostage 10 inch shallow mount sub on his recommendatiion- These are apparently very good for the size and cost (£85 delivered), they are Dual 2 Ohm and 400w so more than enough and have a lovely shallow mounting depth of 3.5inches give or take.

You can't really fit a 12 inch in side panel, the 10 inch looks much better, and I can't put it under the boot floor as it's all full of air. I keep oil and coolant along with the wheel bolt wrench so need to keep one side free to store these items.
