Head unit and multi changer won't play CDs
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:56:14 pm »
Hi , for at least the last 3 months when ever I want to play a cd in the car I have to push the cd in loads of times to get it to play as it comes up with error all the time and spits the cd back out but after 100000s times it final picks it up and reads it, also my cd multi changer in the arm rest won't play CDs but if I fast forward the cd that is in the multi it plays through the speakers until I let off the fast forward button. They are both like this even with brand new CDs so it's not the scratches or nothing, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or I'm thinking about buying a second hand unit and try that.

Can't stand the radio most of the time.

Cheers

No one had this problem before? I can't think of any thing to try to fix this. Just asking before I splash the dollar.

Hi Chris,

I dont have an answer to your specific problem but perhaps this could be an oppurtunity to upgrade your headunit?
You dont mention what your current headunit is but like alot of peeps on here, i have a RNS 510.
One of the features of the 510 is being able to play music from an SD card or even copy them onto the internal hard drive. No more faffing around with CD's!!!

If you go for a RCD510 (non satnav version) or the RNS 510 (satnav), i promise you, you wont regret it!

Hope this helps

Rich
