Can anyone confirm this is a FSI engine? 99% Sure
« on: December 10, 2013, 09:23:26 pm »
Im 99% sure this is an FSI engine (the fact it has 'FSI' is massive letters on the cowl is a giveaway...), but it's from an 2008 golf, which I thought had TSI engines?

Cheers

All Mk5 gtis in the UK came with the FSI engine. Only in North America did the TSI engine appear in the later Mk5s'.
Without traction power is nothing!

Thanks for the amazingly quick reply  :happy2:

That's a shame, I'd heard the TSI was preferable over the previous FSI (better mileage, cambelt to camchain, no cam follower issues) etc

Never mind,  thought i'd found the one, but i'll keep looking ! :sad1:,
