Hi Guys,
Just an update on this. Very recently, the road outside my house was re-tarmacked. It was the only day I took the GF's POS corsa to work and left mine at home. Anyway, come to give the ED30 a wash a few days later, I noticed the wash mit was "dragging" along the paint work. To my horror, I noticed a rough texture feel all over the car
It was obviously the tar from the tarmacking and to say I was annoyed is an understatement!
So, I get in touch with Elliot for a full decontamination process and Winter prep detail.
I requested he used the Car Lack systematic care and then the long life sealant followed by 2 coats of Collinite 476.
As you can see from the pics below, the car is now back to its full glory - the paint is silky smooth again and the protection will get it through the winter.
Enjoy
Rich

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=307460&page=6 I was contacted again by the owner of this now :p beautiful Edition 30 to carry out a winter protection detail but mainly to remove the HUGE amount of tar that was covering the car and even the windows due to his road being re-surfaced.
He asked me to use his products of choice as he swears by this for winter use and also so he can top up himself if needs be. This was the carlack twins followed by two layers of collinite 476.
Once the car arrived i started immediately due to the shocking weather was on its way!
Usual process; snow, wash, de tar/de-iron, clay, wash again. This was all i could do on day one due to weather however today i have done the polishing / waxing.
On arrival,
This was solely off the passenger front window!!!!! It was fresh clay!!!
This morning.
Carlack68 curing
Finished.
Flake!
Just wait till the rain comes now :thumb:
