« on: September 18, 2009, 11:19:31 am »
A present arrived this morning....My Bilstein B16 PSS10's

Pic of simple damping adjustment setting for fronts

and same for the rears

Look where they tested during development  :innocent:

Roll on Wednesday and fitment with the TT wishbones :notworthy:

Anyone know where I can get these fully corner weighted?

They look lovely John, very trick adjusters,  :congrats:
I think a good coat of something needs putting on them adjusters before the winter eats them though

Thanks for the tip Gaz. I wondered about corrosion resistance. The body is fine but the anodised bits could be susceptable over time.

Yes, just a coat of vaseline or similar would help, you could clean off when adjusting then re-apply

Cheers guys. Didn't even know they'd tested them on the 'ring.

If they know their way around already I can just sit back and relax

Bilstein have got a big showroom in the paddock, nice fellas in there too, helped me out with some tyres a few trips back.

Go in and speak to them, they'll give you some tips on settings for sure.  :happy2:

Very nice mate, but I would do as others say and put some corrosion protection around the adjusters. I find Vaseline would be too light for use in our over salted roads  :scared:

I would personally use some Copper Grease for this job as it would provide greater protection than vaseline.

I used a combination of copper grease and motorcycle chain lube on mine, seems to be providing good protection so far!  :happy2:
