Indy Cam Follower replacement
« on: December 11, 2013, 02:45:02 pm »
Just wondering what people had been charged by their Independent specialist to change follower?

Mines going in for a service and was thinking about getting them to do it to save me the agg!

Half an hour's labour at max seeing you don't have the older style banjo bolt setup.
Without traction power is nothing!

Realistically they will charge an hours labour but it takes about 15 minutes
Why don't you do it yourself and save the money

Matey I have the older banjo fix and it's still only took 30 minutes today and that was not rushing and havering a brew half way through. Not a big job

I agree, very fair price, considering part to public is ~£30 --- even though I've done it a few times myself, I don't think I'd bother if I had a decent indy doing it for that! :happy2:

£30.50 for the follower from me.  Depending on the age of car it's either £15 or £30 to fit.

Here's a quick question for you Indy's regarding the fuel pump.

I've got a 2005 GTI with one hard and one soft pipe... I thought they were meant to be two hard lines at that age?

They are.

Don't complain about it!! Possible someone fitted the newer style pipes.
