strange power loss
« on: November 20, 2013, 10:22:30 pm »
so iv got an 55 plate mk5 gti with 96 on the clock when i put my foot down it goes to about 3 -4 rpm and it sort of jumps / loses power/judder its hard to explain but only for a split second but its in every gear. then its fine and pulls all the way, could it be the clutch slipping? i have no idea what it is any help would be much appreciated!  no lights have come up on the dash.

Check the PCV & DV, most common faults! Also try getting a VCDS scan......
