Sad news....not so sad news...
« on: December 12, 2013, 08:39:21 pm »
So the sad news - after almost 4 years of absolutely fantastic driving the time has come for me to depart with my beloved Pirelli.....can't believe it's been four years it's been so enjoyable. She really has been an absolute peach to own and I still get a real buzz when driving her (or even looking at her parked on the drive - sad or what?). So the reason for the post was to try and gauge from those on here 'in the know' what kind of price I should be asking for her? Spec wise (in addition to the sheer rarity of it) it has all the Pirelli features and a few extras -

Pearl Black paint work
RNS510 SatNav (recent update to firmware and V9 maps - plus loads of old skool soul on the HDD (optional of course)
CD changer in centre console with Aux In
MFSW
Rear parking sensors
Cruise control (standard?)
Care and maintained by my local VW dealer since I brought her from a VW dealer in Crawley, so only one previous owner. Body work very clean, just one small chip on the bonnet and a few minor scratches here and there. Driver's side alloys need a bit of a refurb though I was planning to do that in the New Year. Just had a major service/MOT with a Cambelt change (back in April) and only has done 36,000 miles.

As a guide I got an on-line quote from 'WeBuyAnyCar' of £10,500 but thought I'd get a view from the forum. Looking to sell sometime in Jan.....

Reason for sale - (not so sad news) just about to order a new MK7 R on the company...... :jumping:

I would pay £1000 more than we buy any car, if that is any help?

(assuming the car is hpi clear and checks out ok)

I got £12500 trade in for my 58 plate 3 door DSG back in May this year at Inchcape Romford against a MK6 R :happy2: Similar mileage and spec, HTH :happy2:

There's one for sale on the same mileage in full stage 2+ tune going for £13k. Might help with the pricing.

TBH those are all very good px prices, obviously more could be had with a private sale.
I'd advertise at £13k and drop if required.
