Yes Martin, looks amazing!

Do prefer the look of the R32 rear. Paint looks spot on.

Really nice car dude, and i like those Valeo LED's. ;D
Maybe you should turn the vw badge on the rear to stock color, because i think there is too much red. :)

Good build thread, heading in a similar directing with my own red 3 door, however I'm sticking with the black side skirts as I prefer them over colour coded ones when running a red and black theme. Sent an e-mail to that body shop you used, may take a trip down there one day next year for a quote on a full re-spray.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

^^^^ Thanks.  :drinking:

I've always been a fan of the contrast on the standard GTI between the splitter, skirts etc and the body colour, always thought it looked great. The colour coded bits on my Eddy do look really good but in standard guise it's a wee bit too much of one colour and needs the contrast of a differently coloured splitter and difusser IMHO as I've done on my OEM parts.

Body shop peeps are awesome BTW, they are doing some more stuff for me (when I pull my finger out and but another  splitter for them to play with) and are anal in their attention to detail. Reasonably priced too.

Yeah, their rough quote for a full re-spray undercut another paint shop by £500. May pop down to them one day to get a proper quote.

Swapped out my VALEO rear light clusters for my OEM Edition 30 ones. Have stuck a pole up to see what peeps think, seeing the pics next to one another I'm leaning towards putting the LED's back in.

Due to my immense strength (and the fact I'm a muppet) i managed to Bollox my plastic boot trim so after a trip to the breakers and £30 later another one was bought. My god those things are a PITA to remove.  :fighting:

Also picked up these interior centre console grab handles for only £20 so I'll have them Hydro dipped and find someone to fit them as they look a right pain to me.

Lights look much better and it is a real pain getting that trim off, proper struggled with it when binning off my rear wiper!

Spot on Martin.. OEM ones look much nicer with what you've done with the rear end. :happy2:

I would gloss wrap behind your rear boot badge whilst your busy making it look better too ;-)
