Ive made the (heart breaking) decision to cease modding the Mistress.   :sad1:

I'll enjoy her as she is for the foreseeable future then when I have enough for the next project she will be split, returned to standard, part exchanged.......and I'll do it all over again.

 :happy2:

Save your money as it 2/3 years time, there will be a shed load of borrowed (leased) Golf 7R returning from lease agreements . There's little gain on the 6R imo. I'm waiting 3 years aswell for the 7 and then change mine.( that's if I stick with a Vw and not go elsewhere in the meantime)

^^^^ That's a possibility I hadn't really considered Steve. I don't know a lot (read anything) about the tuning potential of the Mk7 R. I see a stage 1 is around the same as my Stage2+ Eddy.......i need to do a bit of reading up me thinks.

I'm thinking the same thing, keep my 'Roc for 3 years and then go for a 7R.

Strage you say that!

I'm going on my Hols to Spain in a few months and trying to work out the logistics and cost of driving down compared to flying and hiring a car for the month.

Nice where is Spain are you off to?

My kids started crying to the 2hr trip to Andorra so i'm thinking about going to Ibiza/Menorca/Palma on the ferry. The car gets to go and the kids get to mess about on the ferry rather than crying in the back of the car.

Little town called Jalon (Xalo in Spanish).

My dad does the trip from the UK to there once a year and reckons its a 3 day trip unless your in a hurry. We fancy stopping off in the Pyrenees if we drive, Andorra looks lovely.

Sounds like a good trip.

Andorra would be a good fill up point as its tax free.

My mum lives in Alicante we usually take a flight as i cant deal with 5hrs of the kids/wife moaning.

If you do pass through Barcelona let me know as it would be great to meet up with a fellow member.

Hey Martin, you ever been stopped with those pressed number plates?
Pass MOT ok etc?
A lot of net discussions seem to sum up that they are all illegal, as none have properly been tested to correct standards, even though they print the specs on the plates, and most state "show plates" in small print, they are all waiting for a test case.....

^^^^ Hay @paulw123   :drinking:

No I've never been stopped and my lady has been through a few MOT tests with the pressed plates on and no problem at all. I have heard of others with the same plates not passing an MOT though....go figure!

Mine are all correct sized letters, correct spacing and with conform to the Britsh Standard according to the DVLA (V796). See below....

Latest ones, bought from ebay and these were on the car for last MOT 2 months ago...
