Thanks @dazza   :drinking:

Why the HEX over the Micro, any reason?
Micro will cover your Mk5 http://store.ross-tech.com/shop/VCuCAN.html
HEX is backward compatible http://store.ross-tech.com/shop/VCHUC.html

No idea mate i just bought the hex as its what most people in the VCDS register have.  :rolleye:

But the ross tech site lists the micro for enthusiasts and the hex for professional use.

http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/interfaces.html

Micro does not cover as many models but covers the mk5, does not have turbo mode which is handy for logging. Dont think it would have worked with my seat alhambra 98 so it was handy i got the hex.

^^^^ I know.   :rolleye:

That's what happens when my local VW Dealer won't deal with modified cars and the nearest place to me that will is a Porsche specialist. Ive learnt my lesson and will order a VCDS now.......just need to learn how it works!

Glad the mistress is back on the road.  :pomppomp:

£450

VCDS is the way forward maybe a small tool kit would be handy.
