It's good to know that the Mistress in back on the roads again (although the labour paid wasn't cheap...)! :drinking:

It's easier to learn how to use the cable with the help of a friend. You can read online guides as well.

Pescara wheels (Edition 30 wheels for those not au fait with that name) required for the Mistress as I sold mine years ago. Know anyone with a set they want shot off, send them this way?

Can't decide whether to sell the Mistress as she stands or start the long road to getting her put back to standard. In no rush to decide but whatever my Speedline or BBS wheels are not going.

That's a shame, really enjoyed following one of the most comprehensive build threads on the forum and one of my favourie mk5 GTIs

Thanks for your kind words @Liam0205  :drinking:

90% sure ill sell up, no rush though as I still can't decide what to get, Mk6 R or Mk7 R or RS3 (with that lovely 2.5 noise).

I'd loved to have put a Hyprid on her but with over 400bhp i personnally believe 4WD is reqiured and it'll be easier to buy one than convert this one plus once ive added in (possible) uprading my uprated clutch, WMI and whatever else would be required to safely run 400+Bhp Id have spent another £5K+. Best to put that towards another car.

Thanks @patpong_pete

Yes, I'll get something 4WD.

IF I do split the Mistress I will update this (my build thread) with all info and links to For Sale adds etc etc but that will depend which car I get. If I get Mk6 then most parts, excluding Zorst, are interchangeable and stage2+ can happen ASAP. but if I get a Mk7 or RS3 then I'll keep nothing and start from scratch.

It's a shame you are thinking of selling up. One of the best cars on the forum with a great build thread.

GLWS and looking forward to your next project  :happy2:

It's a shame your thinking of selling such a beautiful machine and so well cared. I think you can consider getting a 6R or making a 4WD conversion. Not sure what would be best for the money.

If you prefer getting a 7R or a RS3, make sure it has all the gadgets you like from factory, the new generation isn't easy to retrofit most of the mods we can easily do in the mk5 and mk6.

Your Ed. 30 is one of the best inspirations to the rest in the forum. :happy2:

Sorry to read this Martin, but I appreciate your reasons!
For me, of the cars you've listed it would have to be the RS3. The 5-pot sound is just brilliant.
