Thanks all, feeling the love!!  :ashamed:

If you all carry on like this I'll keep her and turn her into a FORGED 4WD WMI BT ED30 and there goes the budget for another car. :signLOL:

Anywho....she's not going anywhere for at least 6 months and probalby longer, im only after some Pescaras at the mo and if I can't find those I can always stick the VZ's back on come sale time.

I'd like the 2011-2013 RS3 Sportback (in red  :innocent:) as even a generic REVO stage 2 map should see 420bhp and similar torque.

^^^ Yeap @dan930 , I remember reading about the prop shaft issues that early generation of RS3 suffered with. A few years ago a member on here, Oli, had that particular RS3 and its prop went bang after a couple days of ownership I think....while standard, no map IIRC. I believe that issue now gets sorted with uprated bolts.

Be no point getting a car with Launch Control and not being able to abuse use it.  :innocent:

Evening Martin - I must agree with many of the others your ED30 is a top dollar!

I've started looking at both 7R and the RS3 to give myself an idea of what spec brings what price and which colour is in demand - this chap comes across some interesting motors

I'd love the new RS3 but out (way out) of my budget.  :sad1:

I would go with the old rs3 over the 7r definitely.
the 7r is a great car and a little lighter and probs more fun in the twistys. but as somebody else mentioned (without sounding like a boring r32 owner going on about noise) the 5 pot sound is brilliant, when I drive my dads rs3 then get back in my ed30 with bcs mine sounds like a hairdryer compared to it

the old rs3 really held its money well, I think the 7r will de value quite a lot as its just another 4pot turbo and theres plenty more of them to come  :happy2: both great cars though.

plus my personal opinion but I think the 7r is a very ugly car.

Of the two it'd have to be the RS3 for me, they need a few mods to look their best really but with those and a few easy mods you've got a real weapon and a rare car.

Be a shame to see such a mint ED30 go though, hopefuy it stays on the forum and the next owner loves it half as much as you  :happy2:

Aesthetically the Mk7 STILL hasn't grown on me yet but its epic car with a map and im sure with a few cosmetic tweaks id get over any reservations.

The RS3's 5 pot is gorgeous and with a decat Powervalve TBE and any decent CAI on board it would bring many Smiles per Miles to anyone in the car (except SWMBO who thinks I really need to grow up ).

Thanks bud, too kind!

After all this chat I'll probably end up with a Mk6 R!  :signLOL:

IMO the MK6R just isnt enough of an improvement on what you have already. Unless you are hell bent of burning everyone off at the lights.
