^^^^ Thanks matey!  :drinking:

What's next?

Having a Big Arse THS Cooler fitted, SALK fitted , one of Alex's AKS Wheel alignment jobbies and a couple of Poly bushes for the front wishbones.

Then off to R-Tech for Stage Stage 2 or 2+ custom linear map (depending if I add a HPFP while at AKS) and Niki's new LBK map, can't wait for that, should be a noticeable difference.

The LBK map description from a post Niki made a week or so back.....

Another "new" thing this map is running is my new LBK map, LBK is the Bosch German short term for manifold flap,  the stock Ko4 LBK and VVT mapping IMO is setup to produce air velocity to speed up and get on boost as quick it possible,  the side effect to this is when the engine setup is flowing better from an induction kit and elevated boost requests the turbo surges and flutters most of you wil induction kits and a ko4 have this issue.   What I have found is to allow the head to reduce the air speed velocity at 3000rpm and set the LBK and VVT to allow more air flow volume into the cylinders which in most cases fully removes the surge flutter sound / or Just gives a slight wisper of flutter at 3700rpm.    The other "up" side is more torque can be made between 3000rpm-4500rpm with a lot less boost.     On the k1 we developed the LBK-VVT mapping on made more torque at 1.3bar then it did at 1.6bar..
Next setup is to find a new ignition advance setup to work better with this setup to see if there is even more power to have.

...............Oh and having Xenons fitted too.  8)  :jumpmove:

Busy 2014 for you then  :happy2:

PM'd you Danny!  :happy2:

Not sure on the part number/s. Got a set of 3 from eBay for £30. Pretty sure that Skoda nets, Seat nets and mk6 nets all fit. I'll have a look around for the part numbers for you.

Every now and then, when you think you've seen all the forum has to offer in terms of it's members rides, something like this comes out... I have seen some awesome cars on this forum and this car is one of them. Congratulations for the build, the cars looks lovely!  :notworthy:
I would also like to congratulate and thank you for taking your time and describing every mod in detail. This is a great help for the rest of us who might want to do that mod. So, again:  :notworthy:

And now, with your permission, a few questions and ideas about your mods...
First of all, I should say the overall car looks fantastic (think I am repeating myself   but I had to say it again). I think that the engine cover and center caps are especially great touches!
What about the suspension? Any plans to change it? A LSD maybe? Do you have a front sway bar?
To be honest, there are some mods I don't really like ( of course, YOU have to like them and since you do like them, all is good). I am not a big fan of the gloss black paint on the rear and front valances, I think stock looks better. The carbon center dash, even if it looks great in the pictures, I think it looks better stock because it matches the RCD and climate control style. And, the boost gauge looks a little bit non OEM.
Hope I haven't offended you in any of my remarks! :drinking:

All the best!

^^^^ Thanks for your kind words.  :drinking:

No offence taken, if we were all the same it would be a dull old world. The front and rear black bits were the first things I had done, still one of my fav bits! You know your car will look better like that Rex!

Suspension will be probably be H&R Monotube Coilovers but not decided as yet as that's in the future. Not sure I'd benefit from a front ARB, may stick one in along with the Coilovers in the future as the alignment will need doing again anyway afterwards.

LSD might be lost on me as I'm no racer so I probably won't benefit from one (plus the cost re benefit). I've not been in Mk5 with one fitted so not sure how noticeable the difference is from a car without one fitted.

Some peeps HATE the dash, my brother has a load of real carbon in his Audi and thinks mine looks sh*t! WHATEVER!!  :signLOL:

The boost gauge looks OEM re dial and colur when lite but the silver surround does NOT and its stuck on the gauge like a limpet, so it's staying.

Quality mods here , superb  :notworthy:.  Got some work if you ever go back to standard   I've been looking for the bluetooth carpet cover part number for ages, thanks.

First dibs if you sell up

Back to standard? That'll be fun. Maybe one day, maybe not. I'll probably keep the Red Mistress as is and just keep her and give it to one of my daughters partners in the future as a rusty old heirloom!

Poll added, advice needed peeps.

Thinking of changing the gear knob. Choices are to stick with my Edition 30 knob (although it's battered) or go with a Mk6 one. Thoughts??

^^^^ All the standard parts have been (and are being) kept so if I decide to return her to standard I don't have to re buy them all! Well I say that................

All apart from the Pescaras that'll be going in the For Sale section soon.  :signLOL: They've been sat in my garage for well over a year and won't be going back on.
