I just got a MK6 R gearstick for £55. And must say they are very nice piece of kit.

Definitely the MK6 Edition 35, i have one in mine! 

You can't see from that picture but it still has the golf ball effect on the front face of it where as the standard mk6 gti gear knob doesn't.

I posted this comment only yesterday in a tread about "what's best, 3 or 5 door". I don't care BUT it had better be Red!! 

5 door for the offspring, 3 door once they left home! 

Its one car that REALLY does look as good in 3 or 5 door IMO. When I bought mine I had the option of my 3 door Red Mistress or a Candy 5 door? If it had been the other way round I'd have had the 5 door as my main requirement was RED.

Which reminds me that I was going to add the cost of each mod to the first page, thought it might help some peeps looking for costs of this or that etc BUT then realised that, god help me, my wife saw it I'd have to explain the discrepancy between the disclosed costs (to her) and the actual costs!!
