Nice updates mate  :happy2: I used the same Ramair product with mine a few months ago mate, I've used 2 outlet ducts though. Self tapping screwed mine to the same place as you've done it as it will eventually fall down

Where do you get your hydro dipping done mate? Simon is defo the socket man

Cheers Jake. I'll keep an eye on the ducking, tis proper wedged in there though.  :happy2:

There appears to be a bit more whoooooosh noise coming from the bay so I'd imagine there's more air getting to the CAI.

Maybe I read it wrong on a site, can't remember which  :sad1: like most things there's going to be good and bad reviews lol. Will look forward to seeing this one day and also reading your next updates  :happy2:

Jake

Meth rots aluminium, so there is a risk. Lots of throttle body failures on the Mk4 reported due to meth ingress. Alexs supplies the spacer to stop the ingress. However, long term cant see how it can be good for many of your engine components.

But if your maxxing your modding like James and Hurdy and pushing the envelope then it has benefits  :happy2:

Nige is shipping the bits to me mate, it's not a whole new system but just the R32 conversion bits. How come your going back? Not too noisy for the misses is it?

Mk6 Climatronic unit.....

Ed also supplied and fitted an AQS (Air Quality Sensor). I didn't know much (read anything  :ashamed:) about these but he explained its function and its benefit. It appeared a right job to fit and wire it all up but I'm very grateful Ed did it as it seemed a "must do" mod alongside the Mk6 Climatronic unit.

How hard was the installation?
Any cable swaps needed?
Is the car MY 2008?

Cheers!  :notworthy:

Hi Rex.  :happy2:

Eddie-NL installed it for me so for him it was a 10 minute job to swap the unit over and yes IIRC its just one wire that needs swapping over.

If like me you want to add an Air Quality Sensor then its a bit more involved but still a job that someone with a wee bit of knowledge

Yeap my car is a 2008.
