Current and previous cars. Photo rich
« on: December 07, 2013, 10:59:06 am »
So been on here for a few months and thought I would put my car up here along with my other previous runners.

Well chuffed with the forum and the help you get with problems.

Anyway this is the current daily mk5 Gti DSG.  Great motor as I always wanted one since it was reviewed by top gear all those years ago. I have had VW for years as you can see bellow.

I also have an R32 that lives in the garage for fun. Can't wait for the snow  :happy2:

Before this I had a mk1 G60 as a garaged toy and before that a Corrado VR6 and before that a mk2 golf 16v. Rebuilt and painted all these from the ground up.

And my previous daily when I had more miles to commute was this diesel

Just sorting the little bits for now. Want to get the wheels shot blasted and powder coated. Paint the front end to remove some small stone chips. But first I have a cam follower to do followed by changing the two small thermostats as it takes too long to warm up nearly 10 miles. They are on order. Then check the DV valve and get an rns 500

The mk1 was nice. But did not use it in the wet so ended up always parked in the garage. My r32 is more fun though.

Hi!

Awesome collection of previous cars. Got a particular soft spot for the MK2 Golf and the Corrado Vr6, both of which I had as well. The MK1 looks seriously sweet too ... was it running the standard G60 charger?

The MK5 GTI looks great too!

Yeah was a straight g60 1800 engine transplant then tweaked to 200bhp with charge cooler etc. Few more pics of it. (Yes I know it's a mk5 forum but this is where it all began

Cheers. That's the one I regretted selling. R32 makes up for it now though.
