Ttrs rs3 brake questions
« on: December 15, 2013, 08:26:46 am »
Hi everyone I am looking for some options for brake pads, I have a ttrs 370mm set up ready to go on my gti soon but I will be buying new pads, do I buy oem pads or updated pads? Where is the best place to buy them ? I will mainly be using the car for everyday driving but I will be doing a track day or 2

Pagid Blues are cheaper than OEM, they are a really good option for fast road occasional track use and will cope where the OEM pads have deposited themselves over your wheels and door.

Smart money buys project Mu H16, little bit more than OEM but not by much, huge bite very driver friendly and last 40% longer than most performance pads! low dust and no noise. A great pad all round.

I'm away but Alex at AKS has them both in stock, Alex has first hand experience of the h16 pads so can tell you about them.

should have guessed you've used them before with that user name, we've got them in brembo 8 pot (RS4/R8)/ TTRS / Mk5 R32 /S3 fitment. Not many R32 sets left though.

Prof, what's the cold bite like on the project Mu's? Torn between the H16s and some Endless jobbies at the moment...
Just can't get a definitive answer on the cold manners of the H16 as I don't want Mrs Beddie to have to remember to do a pre brake brake on the way to Asda in January etc

Its good for all intents, without wanting to out anybody, there's a couple of guys running them On here already.

They're ALex's customers and he did both test drives on new pads and discs and it was there from the getgo. They were only going to get better.

They bed in quick and the low wear rate comes from the amount of friction they give with low system pressure. The Mu figure is like double that of a Ds2500.

Think the website is projectmuracing.com the full compound name is h16-05
