Been on the rollers!!
« on: December 16, 2013, 09:45:49 pm »
What u guys think? The operator is a revo dealer and he said it was a great map on the car. The only thing he picked up on was the torque was a little conservative, maybe because it hasn't been mapped to the TBE yet as only just been put on?

I don't really know what I'm looking for on any of these readouts, I don't understand them too well!!  but I've just had stage 1 APR and it is great. I haven't put it on a RR though!!

Looks good! Enjoy :happy2:

I enjoy it all the time!

Looking to get stage 2 mapping soon. The only thing I don't have is the pump, which I'm not looking to do.

So will have to see if that ties the mods together nicely!  :happy2:

Speaking with APR and the reason the torque isn't over 300lb/ft is because the HPFP isn't upgraded.

The standard HPFP isn't the same as the S3 and the golf R, its slightly different apparently.

I've now got hardware for stage 2 including TBE and Intake, so looking for the map to be updated now. Just want the missing torque off all the other tuners cars!

Anyone been in same situation? Will it get me that little bit extra torque without the pump? I want the torque around the same as the bhp

Cheers guys.

Will

You should get similar torque to bhp numbers. My R-Tech stage 2 Eddy has 331bhp & 337ft lb with TBE and CAI but without a bigger cooler or upgraded HPFP. What figures do APR suggest you'll get from stage 2?

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but the graph would suggest you're making 110bhp at 3k and about 200bhp at 4k from a K04.     Peak power is fine, but under the curve seems a bit weak.

Here's a measily K03 map from APR:

Exactly what I thought. Couldn't work out why mine are so far apart??

The operator said the dasteks read low on torque, but surely not that much?

When I first contacted APR they suggested a possible boost leak, would it still reach 307bhp with a leak??

But there stage 2 figures are around 320bhp and similar torque. Around 330-340 with HPFP.

Ican have stage 2 mapping without the pump, but to get the extra torque they are suggesting a pump upgrade.

Seems R tech and Revo can have the torque without, so why can't I?..lol

Hopefully someone can confirm if it is the same?

Anyone know if it could be a boost leak? If so how do you tell? Just visual on pipe joints etc etc?
