Im looking for one too, or a nice regular gti with leather and all the bits

Like the idea of the 30 because just a remap and exhaust system and you've got a seriously quick car that's good looking and reliable.

My colour preference is white grey red silver black, in that order.

At the moment the prices are out of my range however I did see a nice red one 07 plate with 35k on auto quake sell for £14375 so they are starting to drop.

Stick with it as there will be some 3 year old ones coming up soon and a lot of people change their car when it gets to this age. Thats what i'm hoping anyway

I hope you're right mate - 'cause since I started looking a few weeks back it seems that prices are rising not falling.  Had one dealer let me know they have an '08 5 door Ed30 on its way in about 2 weeks - they want £20,995 for it though  :surprised:

I've been quoted £21,600 for a Mk6 with 18" Monzas and Lux Pack and that looks the better deal out of those two.

Will keep looking for the Ed30 for the time being though

ed 30 prices will stay high , if its low mileage , and keep moderatly oem , the values are on the up as is all used car now , in 12 months time you ll be able to pick up a mk6 gti for less than a mint ed30 (especially in candy white !!! :P )

true prices seem to be going up , i think i got a bargain, paid 11,850 for a 05 plate gti in black with only 27 k! it is reasonably low in terms of spec but even if i were to get things like the upgraded nav system it is still a steal, seeing gti's for that kind of milaege now your talking about 13 + generally.
