Wheel locking bolts and and locking key

Just bought some Advan racing wheels and my Vw bolts are fine but when trying to use the locking key to tighten the locking bolt the wheel hole is too narrow to get in. Is there are thinner locking keys/adapters you can get somebody must of come across this?
