Good evening!
« on: December 19, 2013, 11:05:21 pm »
Hello!
I am hoping you will let me on your forum as I do not own a gti but I do own a GT TDI 140! I've had it 4 months put a nice double din headunit in it and am now looking to make subtle improvements! As you can see from the pics it is looking a bit boring at the moment! But I have a black grill on the way and am picking up a set of gti headlights on Saturday. I am then looking at getting an edition 30 or votex splitter and then we'll see if I have caught the bug! Also looking at chipping it to 170 next year! I am very open to ideas and opinions so comment away just go easy on the abuse I ave man flu!

Couldn't find any pictures on your profile, I'm guessing yours isn't standard though! Any tips?

Thanks Dan! Just had a look at your build and was stunned! What you've done to yours is very similar to how I'd like mine (subtle improvements!) Do you get a lot of smoke with the twin pipe facing straight out on a 140? I really like the look the twin pipes but have been told that due to mine not having a DPF filter i'd end up blacking out the back of my car!

Mine doesn't get blacked up out the back...lot of it is how the car is remapped..if yours is still standard engine wise it will be fine....was it my build thread you was reading..

yes it was! Just got a black grill through the post and collected a set of black gti headlights! The only problem is the grill has a crack in it so is going back!

Black Lights! Make a huge difference in my opinion, quite tempted to keep the silver grill but not too sure
