This is up for sale again guys, a great car but I feel its not for me and believe it or not I miss my Honda's

Since owning it I haven't had to much luck with it but when selling a car I like to be as honest as possible so here goes. A week after owning it the car developed a loud knock from the offside front after giving the car a blast of the throttle. I went home and noticed that 3 wheel bolts were stripped on the drivers wheel  :scared: I got the car taken to my work to be checked over, on driving the car into the workshop the wheel flew off (I know who the f*ck drives a car when the wheel isn't fully secured, I thought I could nurse it in but obviously not) On further inspection I found that all 20 wheel bolts on the car had been shortened by around 3 threads and that each bolt was only in by 2 threads.... scary sh*t! God only knows why! My initial thought was that the previous owner or his mechanic had stripped the threads/bolts but then on thinking I reckon that due to the lack of threads in the hub that they have stripped when giving it some. So now I needed to replace the hub/bearing and a full wheel bolt set plus get the bodywork sorted which killed me!

Since then I've found a few other faults that I've had replaced or repaired all using VW OEM parts. Offside front hub/bearing, wheel bolt and locker set, 4 new shocker bump stops, serviced using quantum longlife oil, nearside front balljoint, nearside front CV boot, aero wiper blades, rethreaded the intake pipe and secured, remove nearside front coil spring and refit correctly plus a couple of other bits n bobs.

Back on to the body work scenario. The drivers wing is mangled and the door skin is damaged so went to the bodyshop for a quote and they noticed the rear quarter has been rubbed away by a wheel previously so its now going in to have a new wing, new door skin and new door mouldings plus a full respray on the offside. Including repairing the rear quarter. All using genuine VW parts and a bodyshop that specialises in VAG cars. I could have had the new wing fitted and the door repaired and blended but I'd prefer the job was done right.

I will be making a for sale add up over the weekend so if anyone is interested then feel free to drop me a pm. I have tried to be as honest as I can and I can promise that the car will be in mint condition with everything being 100% spot on.

Sounds like it's running spacers and doesn't have the required longer bolts. :scared:

Tell me about it

It had been running air suspension and Porsche split rims before I bought it. The only thing I can think is that the short bolts were required for the Porsche wheels?? And when the Team Dynamics were fitted with a different offset, the bolts weren't replaced for longer ones. The wheels bolts that were on it had been shortened/cut.
