Interior lights staying on?
« on: December 20, 2013, 07:32:31 pm »
A neighbour popped out to see me when I got back from work to say my car alarm has been going off today so I popped out to check, started the car and all seemed well until I locked the car and now the interior lights stay on?? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a feeling this could be down to a door lock module. There are small micro switches in them and the solder joints become dry and break. Because of this the car will still think the door is open even when its closed. You could do with plugging VCDS in and checking the measuring blocks for each door.

Ok cheers for that, I will try and find someone who has VCDS locally and get it checked. Hopefully its something easily fixed.  :happy2:
