First purchase of 2015  :happy2:
After months of umming and erring I finally decided to go for coilovers over air suspension and I chose to go for the ST XTA coilovers with adjustable top mounts  :happy2:
Arrived today from awesome gti.

Just flicked all the way through this, nice project :happy2:

I'm interested to hear how you get on with the coilovers, I've heard nothing but good things about ST.

Cheers :happy2: looking forward to playing about with the coilovers. Never gone this far with car before and never fitted coilovers to any previous cars I've owned. Can't wait

Fitted my coilovers. Very happy with them. They aren't super low, but from a practical point of view they're just about right for a daily driver (in my opinion).

Another purchase...
New "summer" wheels. 3SDM 0.06. Need some tyres for them. Will hopefully have them on from next month. Can't wait.

Got some Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels to seal them

Are the coilovers all the way down?

Nice wheels, I had a set on my old Mk4! They look amazing in the sun but have a really annoying channel behind the spokes which water sits in after it's rained. I ended up keeping bit of cut up sponge in my boot to soak the water up before it sprayed all over the rest of the wheels.

The Rears are all the way down. The fronts are nearly all the way down, can go down about another 2-3mm. Thanks for the tip on the wheels  :happy2:

Great looking GTI! Like the way it sits on the coilovers :) were the S3 brakes just a straight swap or do you need brake lines too? Also are they the R32 rear lights...i like them alot  :happy2:

Got them from Germany, I forget the name of the seller now. There's a thread on this forum about them somewhere. I know there's a company in the uk called eurowagens that sells them too, but they didn't have them in stock when I got mine.

I got braided lines for mine and had to get S3/R32 ones so I would say you need the hoses too.

I picked the car up from AKS Tuning on Friday. Was so happy to have it back after driving a Hyundai i30 rental car for a week, that I hated.
Treating the car to some V-Power for the drive back down the A1

So I haven't really put the car to the test yet to see how the clutch and LSD are performing, but have had a couple quick blasts and the car seems to drive a lot better.

But of course it couldn't go completely smoothly and I got yet another screw in one of my tyres.

Good job I had the appointment booked with a mobile tyre fitter to get some rubber on the new alloys.
Wheels ready and waiting with 2 coats of Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels sealant.

My LM reps are coming off and will be my winter wheels next winter.

Need to sort out my Multi coloured calipers.

I went for Goodyear Eagle F1's. 225/40/18
