No it's the later tsi engine that should be putting out around 450bhp
Without traction power is nothing!

What do you reckon is the flashing light on the bottom of the steering wheel?

Maybe AF mixture or something, or WMI indicator?

Sorry, but it doesn't show the terminal in the video and then just has a time card tagged on at the end. Also the terminal speed is registered as 138mph and I'm sorry but 450bhp does not get you a 133mph terminal with fwd!!

650bhp with 4wd will struggle to hit 135mph!!

shouldHave gone Apr john..... lol

In seriousness though. Its a stage 3+ 2.0TSI with a fully built engine all the headwork running sunoco race furl on what look to be slicks.

Considering a stage 3+ 2.0 TFSI on 98 ron will hit 480hp+ a 2.0TSI WILL make a fair wedge more power especially with race fuel. Id bet that's easily over 500hp

Still wouldn't get a 133mph terminal though! May get low 11's.

Or are we now saying APR can tune a MKVI FWD with a smaller turbo that is as fast as their stage 4 fully built 4WD TTRS with DSG and get faster terminals with 150-200bhp less power!!

Oh and just 0.1seconds slower than their 600+bhp, fully built Golf R Stage 4 that is apparently still 5mph slower than the stage 3+ FWD GTI at the end of the strip!!

Right, a bit more research has thrown a few more details up. In April this year this car was running 11.6@122 mph on stree tyres, a GT3071R turbo, race fuel and developed over 500WHP ( so around 560bhp) and at that level will have internals. The GT3071 is rated at 560bhp, so that matches up with Garrett's own outputs. Now, 122-123mph terminals are still a reflection of power over the distance and even with slicks added to gain another 10mph on terminals over the same distance needs another 200+bhp in a FWD motor at 1300+kg.

Some great power, but I've still to be convinced!

Golf R gone.

Sweet, and what power were you running Alex?

The APR car did the 60' in just over 1.9seconds, which is good for a fwd but rubbish for an AWD Car.

How much more to take your old Ibiza to 133mph and knock off another 1.6 seconds?
