BMW did a free mot last year for a friends car and failed it on things that should have passed and been warned on to get the work. She spent nearly £250. Cheap mot

Too many people ignore the right of appeal. Garages do get scared when VOSA get involved as they know they will get caught out. Most people just take the "it's broken" advice and do t follow through. The penalties are quite severe for those who fail when it's meant to pass, although there seems sometimes to be a lack of will....KwikFit come to mind!
