hi all,

posting for Alex as I have the scans. We met up and plugged the VCDS in and after clearing the codes in the car these were left the second time around. We also checked the fuses we could think of and seem to be correct and not blown.

Ignore the door ones as he has a broken indicator so throwing up those faults.

Strange ones are highlighted - not sure what the radio ones could be. We had to bump start the car as it wouldn't start after the scanning, so wondering if something is draining the battery - perhaps the brake light switch which could be the cause of the implausible brake fault?

anyway, the EPC and engine light are still on so seems to be in limp mode

he really needs some helps chaps if you could rack your brains on this!  :drinking:

To understand the results I assume you managed to have this running?

Where any of the fuses checked in the engine bay?

I was scanning without the car turning over - not sure if better to have had the engine on rather than just ignition? We did check the engine bay and that's where we noticed the radio fuse in wrong place (see thread in vcds section) and also that a 5a fuse rather than 15a in the spot for the fuel pressure sensor - however fuse was absolutely fine and not blown and same scan results after the change

My thoughts is the battery is so low the reading are being corrupted.

If he wasn't suffering battery drain prior his Hoover issue I would be looking at the charging circuit - did you check to see what it was charging at after you managed to jump start it?

How is the battery being charged now,so that It has a chance to start in the morning?

I didn't look to be honest, we were just to get it started - had to bump him down the steakhouse car park
