went today for a friend as they have a silver ed30 forsale! drove the 3 hours from essex to find the biggest sack'O'crap ever!

was told its got history and is in perfect condition except for the mirror cover broken WELL we found alot more

-osf headlamp scratched badly
-nsf seat back torn
-rear bench seat torn
-no parcel shelf
-no spare wheel
-front bumper cracked
-poor paint all round car
-bald tyres
-both mirror cases broken
-rear cup holder missing
-2 wheels dented
-osf inner arch missing

i didnt even open the bonnet or look at the paperwork! im only posting this as they have some very nice cars listed on there very 'Professorial website' (which isnt where there cars are kept) and i wouldn't want anyone to deal with them!!

i think i know who these chaps are they are friendly with someone down in bristol who deals with dodgy motors in the past the mk2 rs on there he had a few weeks back! they pakistanis by any chance

What kind of dealer worth anything puts a load of pics up with the rear wiper screwed like that!!

I wouldn't have viewed it on that basis alone!!

I paid 7k for mine and its perfect!! Mine is a cat d and so was the silver one we looked at today... i would have thought for 7k it be a half nice car even on a cat d

My extensive experience of car dealers makes me vary wary , a car like this one would need to be making them £1500 profit , makes it a £6k purchase . If it is cheap at a dealer there is a real issue with any car , whether it is visible or not . I would never buy anything that appears cheap .

It was on my list when I was looking but the no history and cat d put me off,just from a resale point of view
It was £7895 when I was looking
I got my 08 ed30 with full history for £8500 slightly more but worth the extra

7k is his top budget... his now looking at nice low mileage gti's. But thanks for the offer

yes they are of non English background.... there was about 13 of them too so didn't want to start any arguments lol
