Squeak/creaking when turning wheel
« on: January 02, 2014, 11:13:43 am »
Happy new year everyone!

I've noticed if I turn the wheel to the left I get a squeaking type noise from around the right strut top area.

It's running airlift performance struts. It's almost like a rubber sqeaking noise but I guess it could be the bearing somehow?

Anyone have any experience before I get underneath and pinpoint the noise?

Cheers

This may not apply as you have fancy struts... but from my experience it could be worth changing the top strut mount (& bearing) on the right side. For me it was the source of all sorts of creaking, knocking and rattling on my right side when driving on uneven roads and turning to the left. That was with 100% standard suspension set up though.

Thank you for the reply :)

I definitely think it could be a possibility. Not sure how it works with these struts or who to speak to either lol.
