Rear light leak
« on: January 04, 2014, 04:37:39 pm »
Hi all,

First post and all that......

My rear light is full of water. I've removed it and poured out what was in there, but it's filled back up again!

Is there a solution or do I need a new rear light and seal?

TIA

Alan

Is it the inner or outer? I presume it's the outer...

You may be able to get a new seal for the bulb holder part from the dealers of TPS if that's how it's getting in?

If not, a new light is needed, plenty for sale individually on eBay or from your local breakers.

It's the outer one, I assume it's one of those common things on the Golf.

It looks like the seal is fubar'd to be honest. Didn't think you'd be able to get just a seal.

Anyone know the part number?

TIA,

Alan

One of my Outers went, I grabbed one on eBay for about a tenner... assuming you don't have an Ed.30, as they have darker lights which rare and cost a bit extra. 5 min job to replace. :happy2:
