Took a brave pill!!

Decided against doing a de badged front grille, which left me with a scary dilemma........had to notch the  brand new carbon bonnet!!

Took me half an hour just looking at it once it was prepped before biting the bullet!

Now in the process of smoothing the notch out and making it even ready for a few lacquer coats.  :happy2:

Measure 15 times and cut once, very carefully.  :scared:

Doesn't look like a jigsaw job either  :grin:

It was a Dremel, very carefully done with plenty of masking protection to avoid rough edges and catching with the Dremel on the good edge.

How does the cut edge look on the bonnet itself ?  As the carbon is a pretty glossy finish, does the cut edge stand out a lot particularly without a rad on.

I have sanded a small radius on the top edge to match the rest of the bonnet  finishing and laquering should make it blend in perfectly. :happy2:

Added the mesh myself, you need to position on a fairly flat area, cant put it to far forward, (it wont bend).



Phead sticker is covering splintered carbon after hitting a Pheasant on track at Donnington!!
