Struggling to remove the rear lid trim panel of the boot?

Hi guys, I have just bought myself a new boot handle and I would like to replace my old 1. Now the problem I'm having is that I'm struggling to remove the rear lid trim panel of the boot which has 10 clippings in total which can't be seen (I already removed the 2 screws) but i keep on trying to pull it with full force but it just doesn't come off! can anyone help me please? :sad1:

You really do have to pull hard, I even use something to lever at the edge (long screwdriver is good but can scratch paint, trim removal tools handy). I tend to start near the top corner edge (with boot open) and yank very hard!  :happy2:

It's a bitch, needs quite a bit of force, but equally so too much force can snap things.  It's fun putting it back too! :rolleye:

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up using brookesb's method of starting near the top corner edge with a hammer and it came off really easily without scratching or damaging anything :innocent:

I broke mine.. need a new one. The clips are held in place by sliding between two plastic prongs and most of mine are broken hahah
